Bangle Workshop 10/5

Learn to make simple bangle bracelets in this three hour beginner workshop. Each attendee will have enough 12ga and 14ga sterling silver wire for three bangles, thin or thick, and enough bronze wire for however many. Expect to make two to four during our time while also gaining familiarity with basic traditional jewelry tools and techniques. You will learn to measure, cut, solder, file, form and finish the material. The material dimensions are just the starting point, you may wish to add different textures with hammers or patterns with files to your rings. I will also bring copper scraps to practice techniques on if desired. All tools and materials will be provided. I will bring jewelers' magnification visors and extra reading glasses, but if you regularly wear reading glasses please bring them. This class can get a bit noisy, I will bring some ear protection, but if you have your own please bring it.

(If you want to make a bangle as a gift, measure with a fabric measuring tape or a piece of string around the largest part of the persons’ hand where their knuckles are. As if they were squeezing on a bangle.)

- Minimum class size: 3 participants. If the minimum is not met, the class may be rescheduled or canceled. Maximum class size: 8
